Known as "Chia Tai" (正大) in China, the Group was one of the first foreign enterprises to enter into and operate in China since it first opened its door to foreign investment in the late 1970s. Today, the Group is one of the largest animal feed manufacturers in China with the goal to become a leading agri-food player. With an operating history of over 40 years, the "Chai Tai" name is well known in the market place.

We pride ourselves in providing top-quality animal feeds to farmers. As part of the Charoen Pokphand Group ("CP Group"), we have proprietary access to CP Group's animal nutrition expertise accumulated from decades of experience. Along with our stringent end-to-end quality assurance system, we produce some of the highest quality animal feeds in China.

The Group produces a wide range of feed products for livestock as well as aquatic animals. Our products are marketed under the highly‑regarded "Chia Tai" name. In addition to complete feed, we also offer concentrate feed and premix, key components of complete feed. Complete feed is a complex and carefully balanced product that includes raw materials such as corn and soybean meal, along with many other ingredients.

We have a national footprint, operating in almost every province. A dedicated team of technical sales and technical service professionals are deployed to offer animal nutrition solutions to farmers. Distribution of our feed products is conducted through two channels — direct sales and through exclusive dealers — covering major farming regions across China. We have in total around ten thousand exclusive dealers in China.

In pursuing our integration strategy, we embarked on our foray into the food business in China in 2012, when we commenced the construction of our first two major food processing plants in Qinhuangdao and Qingdao.  These two food processing plants are equipped with state-of-the-art production lines to produce safe, delicious and nutritious packaged food products.

Going forward, the Group will continue to expand into downstream business as to fulfil its vision of becoming “The Kitchen of the World”.
